California Cedar’s re-released Blackwing pencils are now in stock at Pencils.com! Priced at $19.95 per dozen (or $163.98 for a gross), this product costs nearly twice as much as the Palomino brand, but still much less than the market value for an original Blackwing.

Seems that their sales are just fine, despite the price.
Regrettably, my curiosity outweighed my conscience, so I placed an order for a box, though I don’t think I’ll be getting anything else from CalCedar in the near future.
